Born from a simple idea
Benne & Brew was born from a simple idea — to create a place where South Indian food feels familiar, comforting and joyful, while the experience feels fresh and contemporary.
We believe a good dosa is more than just food. It is the sound of batter hitting a hot tawa, the aroma of butter melting over a crisp dosa, the warmth of a bowl of sambar, and that first sip of perfectly brewed filter coffee.
We wanted to bring those little moments together under one roof.
From our benne dosas and soft idlis to our filter coffee and refreshing creations, everything at Benne & Brew is made with one thought in mind — keep it simple, make it with care, and serve it with heart.
Benne means butter.
Brew means coffee.
Together, they represent what we love most — good food, great coffee, and the simple joy of slowing down.
Benne & Brew is not trying to be a traditional South Indian restaurant or just another café.
It is our take on the South Indian food we grew up loving — served in a way that belongs to today.

Akshay & Suhasini
It started with a dream, a little courage, and a lot of love for food.
Hi, we’re Akshay & Suhasini, the founders of Benne & Brew.
Benne & Brew began with a question:
What if we created the kind of place we would love to visit ourselves?
A place with genuinely good food, comforting flavours, beautiful surroundings, warm people and an atmosphere where you could simply pause for a while.
Neither of us wanted to build just another restaurant.
We wanted to build something that had a personality of its own — something that felt personal, honest and full of heart.
There were plenty of uncertainties along the way. Starting a food business meant taking a leap, learning things we had never done before, making mistakes, figuring things out every day and constantly pushing ourselves to do better.
But the dream stayed the same.
Today, when we see people sitting together over a dosa, students dropping in after college, families sharing a meal, or someone quietly enjoying a cup of filter coffee, we are reminded why we started.
Benne & Brew is our little dream that became a place for many people.
And every customer who walks through our doors becomes a small part of that story.
We built Benne & Brew with our hands, but our guests are what give it a soul.

We serve much-loved South Indian favourites like benne dosas, idlis and vadas, alongside freshly brewed filter coffee and refreshing beverages.
Our food is rooted in tradition, but our approach is contemporary. We keep our flavours familiar, our ingredients simple and our food made fresh.
